compile Yambo 5.2.4 with external devicexlib-0.8.5

Having trouble compiling the Yambo source? Using an unusual architecture? Problems with the "configure" script? Problems in GPU architectures? This is the place to look.

Post by rundong » Sat Jan 11, 2025 2:12 am

Dear all,

I am compiling Yambo 5.2.4 but the process sticking with " download devicexlib-0.8.5.tar.gz" forever.
Compiler: Oneapi2024.01
Architecture: x86_64
Parallel compiling
Yambo5.2.4
Problem: " download devicexlib-0.8.5.tar.gz" forever.

I am wondering if someone can help with compiling Yambo with external devicexlib-0.8.5 because we have devicexlib-0.8.5.tar.gz somewhere.
Many thanks in advance.

Best,

Dear Rundong,
are you sure that you are using Yambo version 5.2.4? This version is not using deviceXlib.
The dependency from deviceXlib starts from version 5.3.0.

Dear Nicola,

You are right. I might not compile Yambo5.2.4 as I had used "git clone https://github.com/yambo-code/yambo.git" to download Yambo. It made me be believe that I compiled 5.2.4. Now after I downloaded 5.2.4 and everything went smoothly.
Thanks again for everything.

Best
